Great Idea, now go ahead and find all those and their thread urls and post them here, then when I get bored enough I'll merge them all into 1 uberthread....

This must be a sign that this week I shall mostly play oldies!

I played LSL3 for the first time in ages yesterday and finally finished it today. Man, there are a lot of freaky things you've gotta do in that game! (I'm glad the manual had a partial walk-through, but even finding the correct phrasing so that something would happen was a challenge in itself (Finding out how to get Patti to put coconuts in her bra took me over 10 minutes of typing!))

Here is a link to Al Lowe's (The creator of LSL) Download page. He endorses The Underdogs..
You'll need DosBox to run the games, unless you have an original pentium box (or older) up and running...

    Enjoy :)

I'm glad but also kind of scared that BeOS, without Flash, etc, could play that game. Nice, but scary that DHTML could do all the stuff needed for Lemmings to work.

First of all, that has to be the first reference to coconuts in bras on TS. Ever.

Secondly, The Underdogs has been down for significant time now. :( I never got to see it.

Ironically.. I haven't touched LSL since I played LSL5 a long dern time ago. Never played 1-3.

    HOTU was/is not down..

They lost their domain name some time ago and their new address is www.the-underdogs.org

Well, there could've been a reference in the word game thread, but I do believe you are correct. Maybe I should add that to my signature?
"I'm the guy who first posted
    "?

And to make this post partly on topic, for some strange reason T-U doesn't list any other than a remake of LSL2. But since Al Lowe said it's ok to get them, I can't see much harm in posting a .torrent to it (though I don't kow how many active seeds & stuff there are for it)
    (Just rename it to .torrent)

Since when has that ever stopped us??

The torrent link seems fine. I just opened it and DLed the whole thing without having to upload a single k!! First time I've ever Dled A torrent where my upload wasn't greater than my download.

    So that was you ;)

I'm going to keep it open for at least 12 hours (or until it stops responding). I might keep it open longer, but not sure. But if you want it, don't wait too long to start download (I won't close it with any peers connected)

I figured downloading a little LSL would be good for my work karma. besides, I haven't touched those games in so long.

Wish there were others around.. but it's not often I get involved in the file sharing scene due to needing to keep the networks I'm usually on secure. This one is a little lax for now, but we'll have to tighten up later...

Now if I could only find all of the original commander keens/duke nukems! ;)
