I was reminded by jobeard that Pure Magic has 2 Services and the Dependencies need to also be running:
The Services are:
1.
Pure Network Platform Service: Listed in Services same, shows process as
nmservice in Task Manager when running. Set to Automatic. Dependencies are> WMI, Windows Management Instrumentation.
nmservice was not on the list in services.msc
I show the actual Service fully listed out as
Pure Networks Platform Service.
2.
Pure Networks Net2Go Service: Listed in Services same, shows process as
nmrsspache in the Task Manager when running. Set to Manual. Dependencies are> AFD, TCP/IP Protocol Driver.
And you must check the Dependencies of each of the above Dependencies. If you do not have the Pure Network Platform Service listed, you will need to reinstall Network Magic and follow by checking that any necessary Dependencies are set to Manual or Automatic.
You indicated originally that the network connection failed initially. But you now say the Win32 error comes up "hours after the computer has been running." What are you doing in these hours?
The error will likely show Win32 Generic Host Processes followed by what it did- either terminated, couldn't load, or other. The next time you get the error, check the time on the computer clock. Then do the following to
look for error at that same time:
Start> Run> type in eventvwr
Do this on each the System and the Applications logs:
[1]. Click to open the log>
[2]. Look for the Error>
[3] .Double click to open
[4]. Click on Copy button, top right, below the down arrow >
This will have the Event#, the Source and the Description.
[5]. Paste here (Ctrl V)
[6].NOTES
- You can ignore Warnings and Information Events.
- If you have a recurring Error with same ID#, same Source and same Description, only one copy is needed.
- You don't need to include the lines of code in the box below the Description, if any.
- Please do not copy the entire Event log.
Errors are time coded.
