Not open for further replies.
Hello. Are you still with us? I waited for your Wednesday return. Let us know when you're ready to continue.

Thanks.

Sorry about that, yesturday was my birthday and I was ignorant to not plan that out. I forgot to tell you before-hand, sorry. But now I'm back and ready to go again!

Combofix logs not producing because it always stops at "Completed Stage 49" for about an hour and never finishes.

When I right click my desktop, the whole desktop blacks out and gives me an error, Windows explorer has stopped working.

DxDiag
  1. Click Start and then click Run.
  2. Type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK.
  3. Click Save all information, and it will collect information and it will prompt you to save the file. Save the file to the Desktop.
  4. Find DxDiag.txt on your Desktop, and post the contents of it in your next reply.

To use driver verifier:
- First make sure you can access Safe Mode (with Networking preferably), by tapping [F8] during startup. If verifier detects a problem, you may not be able to start in normal mode, so it is very important that you can access Safe Mode to disable it.
- Go to Start and in the run/search bar type in verifier and press [Enter].
- At the start of wizard, click Next.
- Click Automatically select all drivers installed on this computer followed by Finish, and then restart the PC.

If you receive any BSOD's during the course of using verifier, please upload the logs, as they will contain the results of any driver problems.

To turn off driver verifier, simply go back to the verifier wizard again in Safe Mode, and select Delete existing settings.

Okay. We'll do this final check, then you may have to work with a techie in the Windows OS forum if I cannot spot the issue. (Not trying to give up, though).

Please download the latest version of Kaspersky GetSystemInfo (GSI) from Kaspersky and save it to your Desktop.

Note: please close all other applications running on your system.

Double click GetSystemInfo.exe to open it. It will display an agreement. Click on I Agree to continue.

Click the Settings button.

IMPORTANT! Then, click Customize - choose Driver / Ports tab and uncheck Scan Ports.

On the General tab, make sure all of the boxes are checked.

misce.png

On the Misc tab, make sure all the checkboxes are checked.

Then, click OK on the windows that you launched.

Click Create Report to run it.

beginscanning.png

It will begin scanning.

It will create a zip folder called GetSystemInfo_XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.zip on your Desktop.

It should automatically upload it to http://www.getsysteminfo.com. If it does not, then please submit it manually by going to the site and doing the upload process.

It will redirect to a page, where it will provide a sharing URL for specialists. Copy and paste the url of the GSI Parser report in your next reply.

Please disable Desktop Composition, then let me know if the error persists...

Press Start, copy and paste this to the Search box and hit enter: Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows

Make sure the box is unchecked next to Enable desktop composition.
