Computer down

hey all, i need some helps!
my computer has a serious problem right now...let me describe the situation...
it told me to go to BIOS and check the CPU frequency...
i did nothing to it because my bro tell me not to..
and after a few day or so, when i open the computer, it has some weird sound....i cant turn it off no matter what, so i unplug it and reopen it....and then it said go to 'safe mode'...
i finish using the computer and put it standby...the next day i came back to the computer....the computer is on...flashing light at monitor but nothing at monitor...the computer wont go off....i know it is on because it is still running (by the sound)
now i get stuck..when i unplug everything and plug it back, the computer turn on automaticly....but nothing will show up in the mon?
please help~ thx all

Open the computer and turn it on. Look to see which fans are spinning. Reply if any arent.

What is this computer? Make and model? Do you know how to reset the bios? Your bro might be able to help you do this

asus...dont know what is it..
window xp...
fans= not the one on top nor the one below that fan...weird
oh, he is off for 2 months
