Computer won`t start. No beeps, nothing.

i'm really confused .. everything i've read posts that ponit to sudden shut down problems to overheating and psu ( cpu 35 idle and 50 max at load...brand new antec true power 430w ) i've tried memory swaps, reformatting , old ide drives .... now it won't turn on at all .... put the old ps back in , it turned on for about 30 sec then shut off ..no beeps no error messages no nothing .. again will not restart.. new ps back in same thing...is it possible possible for the mother board or cpu to cause this...thanks

xp pro sp2
msi k8n neo4
1g memory
saphire radeon 128mb pcie
antec 430 true power
1 36g wd raptor (os only)
1 300g seagate
1 dvd burn
1 dvd read
 
it is very possible for the motherboard to cause this. try resetting the CMOS, refer to your mobo manual for how to do it properly.
