Configuring PPPoe Connection for Internet connection in Fedora Core 3

Hii all Tech savvy,

I am new to this forum and somewhat new to linux world.

I have some problem while connecting to the internet

My PC configuratiion is as follow:

Processor AMD athlon 2400+
RAM 256 mb
Motherboard ASUS A7N8X
Display Card NVIDIA GeForce MX Integrated CPU
Network Adapter : NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter
PPPoEWin Miniport

I am having Cablenet Internet connection (PPPoE)
I am able to connect to internet in Windows XP but i am not able to use connect via Fedora Core 3.


I used the following IP address .I assign it statically in XP to use LAN facilty

NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Adapter - Packet Scheduler Miniport

IP 10.200.50.217
Subnet 255.0.0.0
Gateway 2.2.2.2

WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface

IP 203.115.86.58
Subnet mask 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway 203.115.86.58
DNS Server 203.115.81.38

server ip address
25.1.1.1

Client ip address
203.115.86.58

Please Help me how to coonect in Fedora Core 3.

adsl-setup

there is a script which is called adsl-setup

it will do all the configuration for you and it comes with the distribution.

I had this problem once and, after readeang and configuring pppd and the network setting, i found this script which did the job in 2 minutes
