    Tried it as a gif?
I manipulated my avatar in PSP7...
Are you doing yours through gimp in Linux?
I mean a jpg should be a jpg regardless but you never know what weird difference could be upsetting the forum upload software.....

    Tried different a image?
    I love process of elimination.
You will find out what is stopping you from succeeding at this simple process ;)
Is it an animated image file that is somehow exceeding file size restrictions?

Why don't you upload it here, so we can see what it is? Maybe then we'll figure out how you can use it...

    Cause its a surprise

He doesn't want to unveil it until it is in place.
But it would help to be able to dissect the image to find out what is causing the problem.... And I wasn't trying to rub it in. I was infact trying to emphasise that it was some undetectable bizarre problem that not even computer experts could expect to encounter :p

If I could get this to work I would work on a better one....

could it be the browser setting? maybe you should try uploading it from some other browser or from Penguin land. i wasn't able to upload mine from the internet shop, but was completely fine at home.
but again, maybe it's the server? because after a while, i was able to upload my avatars from the internet shop again, no problem.

I had some problems with my avatar as well, I tried standard & progressive JPEG, GIF87 & GIF89, PNG, .. Created with the GIMP. Now it works, I just had to try about a dozen times.
