Hi,I just wanted some advice on if it is possible to upgrade my laptop cpu,I understand it will be hard to find the right cpu if an upgrade is possible but I will deal wit that later.
My laptop is the DELL INSPIRON 9300 and the info I have on my cpu is from Belarc Adviser and it is as follows:
    800 megahertz Intel Pentium M
    64 kilobyte primary memory cache
    2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache
    Not hyper-threaded
    I will appreaciate any advice.
    Thanks.

It's probably possible to upgrade the processor, but it won't be much of an upgrade because the motherboard is far to old. You'd be throwing good money away. If you want an upgrade, a new laptop could be had fairly cheaply and would stomp your old laptop into the ground. But it's possible to get the motherboard model number with Belarc. That would help determine what other processors it could use.

Not worth the effort or money to upgrade laptop CPU's, you're much better off saving for a new one.

    Dell Inspiron 9300 specs
An Intel Pentium®M 780 (2.26 GHz) Processors may work with your system.

Your not gonna see much of an increase in performance with that upgrade. It's generally not advised to upgrade a notebook and I personally don't recommend it.
