Those generators you are using do not work on -595B passwords. There are several people who have generators which do work on that model, but they charge for their use., except for rustam on this forum. He visits infrequently however and his PM message inbox stays full, so you will have trouble contacting him. The shorting method also does not work on that model or any other Dual Core/Core 2 Duo Dell Laptop. Private message me if you want a link to ones that charge fees; I will not post them on the open forum

    Password protected

    Hi all,

I tryed contact Rustam directly over PM, but i can't send a PM before Iv'e post 5 messages on forum. So this is maybye the way. Because i spend lot of time reading pages about unlocking Dells especially D620's on forum (this is really mess, i'm loosing in this) and all hints leads to him, it seems he solved out this problem many times, many users.

I have very similar problem as lot of TS users. I have Dell Latitude D620 and after start appears request to enter Administrator or system password: This computer system is protected by password...

    Service Tag: 5LCGC2J-595B

Rustam, can you generate password for me? Or anybody else?

    Thank you very much.

Hi splitpin2008. If you don't mind, can you share what you used to solve the problem? I have a similar issue as yours. Did you use the svctag.exe program? Were you able to boot from a USB?
  20. splitpin2008 Newcomer, in training

hi, i used the CD version.... you have to burn it as an ISO file, then boot the laptop off it... as my boot order was FDD / HD / CD, i have to remove the HD to boot from the CD...
... i then held my breath.... followed the on screen instructions and success!

just one thing... make a note of your service tag ... as you can re-enter it after clearing the EPROM....
