In that case I suggest one more time...
Uninstall Firefox completely using this manual: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_Firefox
Install fresh copy.
Make sure you complete ALL steps from the above link.

This looks like it worked! It's possible I missed a step the previous time.

Side note: After following the directions to uninstall firefox, I restarted my computer. When I went to mozilla.org to download firefox my computer screen shutoff and I had to hold down the power button. This happened 3 times in a row. The 4th time I went to cnet and downloaded firefox, then I went to mozilla.org and updated firefox. Now everything seems to be working great.

I will now continue with the last step where I update and cleanup everything.
