Diablo III is coming to next generation consoles – that much we’ve known for quite some time. What we didn’t know, however, was exactly when the game would be available. On Monday, Blizzard filled in the missing piece of the puzzle: August 19.

In a press release on the matter, Blizzard said Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition has been designed to take advantage of the unique features of console platforms. For example, the console version will feature 4-player same-screen and online multiplayer options.

The game will also feature a new Apprentice mode designed to boost low-level players’ power as they play alongside a higher level friend. This will help to eliminate the level gap so both lower and higher level characters can enjoy the game simultaneously.

Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’ll retail for $60 on next generation consoles and $40 on older systems. That’s a fair price when you consider the Ultimate Evil Edition consists of the base game as well as the recently released Reaper of Souls expansion pack.

The base game has been available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 since last year and currently sells for around $40 new. If you don’t already have it and can stand to wait a few more months, you’ll get more content for the same price on these systems.

There was no mention of when or if the title would eventually find its way to Nintendo’s Wii U. That’s not a huge surprise at this point as sales of the Wii U have collapsed as evident by Nintendo’s third consecutive annual loss.
