DirectX 9.0c internal error message

    I just recently reloaded Windows XP and have yet to install all of my drivers. I needed to install Directx 9.0c in order to play a game on my computer. When I tried to install it, I got this message: "An internal error occurred. Please refer to directx.log in your windows folder to determine problem."

    This is what I found when looking at the directx.log:

    Thank you for answering but I downloaded all of my drivers and tried the Directx one again and it still said the same thing.

    And I'm not sure if you were referring to my drivers or my computer game, but I didn't download anything either way.

    What is your download source... I just completed another test download from www.filehippo.com... and from CNET site... and from PCWorld. Used a Windows XPP machine then a Windows 7 Home machine, and a laptop. so the site is working and the downloads are working

    My download source for what? I didn't download anything. My computer game is on a CD and the drivers are on a CD that says "Drivers and Utilities CD for VIA Chipset Mainboard."
