I'm running Pinnacle Studio plus (non linear editing) but having a problem with capturing video.
I've got a mini DV cam with both USB and Firewire compatability. The default capture mode for digital video in Studio is through a firewire port. Sadly, I don't have one.
Studio can capture through a USB port if you're capturing from an analogue source ie:VHS/Hi8 camera's. Unfortunately for me it doesn't seem that Studio can capture digital through a USB.
So does anyone know if there are USB-Firewire adaptors out there, or any way to connect firewire to my computer without getting a new motherboard?
Do external hard drives come with firewire ports?
