Well my computer is currently running Windows Vista Home Premium and I really want to go back to XP Professional. I have the disk and the key for it but when I click on the "Install Windows XP" icon its says:

"This program has been blocked due to compatibility issues."

    i read a little further....

then it says that I cannot complete this installation because the current OS I am running is newer than the one I am trying to install.

How can I get around this message? Would creating a partition on the C drive work? Any help is appreciated.

    Here are your options :

    - You can dual boot, see HERE

    - You can dual boot, then delete Vista.

-You can format the hardrive and install XP.

See HERE and CD boot disks HERE

    Important notes :

    - Check the availability of XP drivers for all the hardware.

(become an expert on your hardware.;) )

    - Be aware of any SATA hard drive issues.See HERE and HERE
