  1. Ever since the day it was shown at CES back in January, all eyes have been on the Palm Pre. The stakes are pretty high. Not only because many believe this smartphone to be the first serious contender to Apple’s iPhone in terms of design and usability, but because its success or failure will largely decide Palm’s fate. There’s been no shortage of hype and speculation around the web, but now, just a few days away from its launch on Saturday, the first Pre hands-on reviews are actually starting to trickle in.

  2. I bought the pre thinking it would be a step up from my Palm 755p... sad to say I was wrong. The signal strength on the pre is lucky to reach 2 bars at my home while my 755p stays at a rock solid 4, even my wife’s LG phone has 5 bars (all with sprint of course). If you are using the phone for "business purposes" you’ll find the phone is too gimmicky and lacks the rock solid feel and appeal of the Treo model. My only hope now is to see if they will take the phone back and go back to my old faithful 755p.
