    Hello,

Recently a client of mine recieved a virus that flared up pop up's saying there was a problem with the hard drive etc. I ran several scans that seemed to remove the infection. PC seems to be running fine and scans are coming up clean now but all the program shourtcuts under their respected folders under the start menu are now all empty.. I tried programs like unhide and looked for the start menu temp folder. I can seem to find any start menu folder on the machine now. Also it seemed to wipe out restore points so I wasnt able to do a sys restore. Is there a way to reproduce the shortcuts with out having to manually copying the exe in there?

If UnHide didn't work then you'll have to restore all items manually.

    Hi

I read that article you sent the link to and tried those things. I will have to manually make new shortcuts I guess.
