Flashing a Radeon RX 5700 to 5700 XT: Free 10% Performance Boost

Because a lot of people buy something, does not mean that it's the better product,
I agree with this 100%, just not in this case.
BTW, I've had plenty of AMD builds over the years and still run an MSI 770-G45 AM3/Phenom II 910e/ 8GB DDDR Ripjaw/Radeon 6870 for a HTPC, it's a great little system.

Okay folks - can we please end this line of discussion in this article forum. The past two pages contain virtually nothing in relation to the content of the posted article. Please raise a thread in the General Discussion or Graphics Card forums to debate this further, otherwise it will need to go down the road of moderating posts (which is never pleasant for any of us to do). Taverynicely...

How ya been Eve?
Ready for Halloween?
I haven't used my Sub-Zero costume in a few years, might have to bust it out.
Now...I just need someone to help me make a Pumpkinhead costume so I can scare the bejesus out of my wife ( I just got married last Saturday! ).

Congrats on your wedding, as a suggestion maybe you can play a dead man that just got hung including the rope around the neck ;)

We can’t know for sure why AMD wouldn’t unlock this performance themselves. I’m guessing they are being careful. The 5700 and 5700XT have all had widely reported heat issues so they are probably playing it safe. I mean look at the size of the cooling on the things!

I personally wouldn’t take the risk of messing with the bios on cards as hot and heavy as these.

Folks, six more comments have needed to be removed, because people are either missing Post #52 or choosing not to stick to the request. I'm assuming it's the former, but as a useful reminder, this thread is for the discussion of the article on 'Flashing a Radeon RX 5700 to 5700 XT' and nothing else.

OMG, you ruined the article again.

You have the title of the test, and the graph BELOW the explanation.

First you say "Results in Forza Horizon were blah blah" THEN you have the large headline and graph. How many people do you think expect the explanation BEFORE the title of a benchmark?

Please return to the format you had like 15 days ago, where for each benchmark you posted:
1. Headline
2. Graph with the results
3. Comment of the results

That's how it should be. How can you publish the comments before the title? Do you expect a book to have a chapter title AFTER the chapter?

I think Navi is just starting to mature. Going to have to squeeze a few more RDNA vines...
