    Well that clears that up.......maybe
    We'll soon know.
If GTX590's start dropping like flies using the 91 driver then it will be attributal to hardware- 4+1 power delivery seems pretty skinny imo, although if the card is a Ralph Nader special (unsafe at any speed) -it makes you wonder how PoV/TGT manage to ship a 13.8% overclock card as standard

Clears up a couple of other matters also. The fud from B3D/SA and the like regarding the new driver hobbling clockspeed, and the dodgy thermograph reading from Hardware.fr (since pulled from the review I think) of 112-113°C* -that was parsed by a certain Minneapolis based tech blogger as 119°C- and thereby being passed as authentic by his minions.

*Hardware.france's thermograph of the HD 5770 shows almost 91°C under the same testing regime as comparison.

Yes it seems that on a card of this much strain on the VRM, you might go with something like this:

Hell even my 5850's are 8+1 power phase

    Yup.
The GTX 580 Lightning looks just as beefy.
The ~1k GHz core looks quite enticing as well....balanced of course by the likely price.
