Formatting hard drive took two seconds in Vista startup

I wanted to do a clean install of Vista 64 bit. I wanted to reformat the hard drive as well. When I clicked delete, new, then format the formatting part of it only took like 3 seconds, I tried it again for good measure, on my last computer reformatting the hard drive took a solid hour or two. Did I mess up or did my Vista just become some sort of hero?

The format that is done during the installation of Vista is a Quick Format so that time period is normal. A full format done through Disk Management or using third party software will take a lot longer.

Thanks

Thank you for the quick reply, I got that thought as I said screw it and started the install anyways. Nice to have it confirmed.
