The only reason I used the phrasing I did, was because when the hit counter wasn't working, the input from the rest of the crew was a bunch of BS and name calling, as to whether or not they knew how to log in as "guest", while ignoring or trivializing the issue.

Maybe that's just how you elected to understand and react to it.

On my end, I have more trouble with the latest versions of Firefox (17.0) in this computer, (Windows 7 32 bit 2 GB RAM), than I do running FF 3.61 under XP, (SP2 1.5GB RAM). With 3.6, I can open literally hundreds of tabs. With FF 17.0, maybe 60 or so, before it comes to a grinding crashing halt.

It probably doesn't have anything to do with your issues, but I just thought I'd note that Firefox 18 is out in case you want to update.

It probably doesn't have anything to do with your issues, but I just thought I'd note that Firefox 18 is out in case you want to update.

Every time Mozilla releases a new "update" of Firefox, I hear a Kenny Roger's song playing in my head....."ya gotta know when to hold up, know when ta hold up. know when to walk away, and when to run"........like that !

The thread you linked doesn't show a bunch of BS and name calling at all. It shows a handful of members trying to figure out the problem and two users playfully called each other names once. Nobody suggested you were wrong and nobody called you anything from what I see.

I assume you use Firefox over Chrome for its added privacy. Maybe you'd be interested in Comodo Dragon (the Wikipedia entry has a more digestible feature list than the download page). I'd like to use Firefox myself but the general performance and "feel" of using the browser has really slipped in recent years.
