    Hi,
    Here's my set-up:
    Asus M4A79XTD EVO
    2 times HD 4850 512MB (in crossfire)
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
    6GB 1333mhz RAM (Kingston)
128GB OCZ Vertex Plus Series SATA II SSD
    600w coolermaster silent PSU
    W7 O/S

    nothing overclocked
What is the next best upgrade to make in order to get a noticeable difference in gaming?

    thanks in advance

Well If you want better gaming performance. The upgrade would be the GPU. What is the budget you have for the upgrade?

Where do you live? Would you be able to purchase online? Maybe consider grabbing a HD 7850 or 7870. Either of those cards would be a nice upgrade.

Is that £200 plus the sale of your 4850's?

For £200 your best bet is probably the 7870, if you can stretch it to £300 then the GTX 670 is a great card.

thanks guys - if I do go for the 7870, will there be any remaining 'bottlenecks'?
    & Yes, it's £200 including whatever I sell

You can probably go for the 7950 then, AMD are also giving away 3 free games. Most 7950's overclock extremely well.
You shouldn't have any bottlenecks and it should be a huge upgrade. Good luck!
