  1. Gartner's latest mobile and smartphone sales figures show that demand for the iPhone 4S has halted, presumably because people are waiting for the new iPhone to launch. Apple's flagship handset is expected to get a refresh as early as next……

So because android is growing and iPhone is dropping, people are waiting for the new iPhone? That is the most backward headline I have read in a while.
Most of the iPhone people I know dropped their iPhone for an android phone after actually using one.
iPhone can not compete with android phones due to the options available.

The only people I know waiting for the new iPhone are current iPhone users who refuse to use android because they think the iPhone is better. They are stuck in a hive mentality. They think it's the best because they are told so. I saw firsthand the marketing apple has on college campuses and even elementary schools, it is disgusting.

These statistics pretty much show why Apple has moved from making innovative new products to suing other companies.

I hope they have some visionary like Jobs in their ranks, although I doubt it. Corporate cultures these days weed out people like that. Jobs got where he was because he was at the ground floor of a new industry. Now that the industry is established, too many middle managers stand in the way, ready to block any innovations.
  4. I still use my 6 yr old Casio flip phone. I dread the day I actually have to buy a "smart" phone. I'm not some old geezer(38), but I just like the simplicity of a plain phone. I use my laptop for everything else I do in the world. iphone or android? all the same to me. More stuff I don't need.

Same thing here. The ones that I know of have never even tried an android. They just assume that iPhone is the best because its the iPhone.
  6. Had two crap droids with verizon. crap OS, crap bloated programs, constant applications running in backround, OS locking up, choppy screens, crap battery life.. yea, thats EXACTLY why I went to an iPhone. enjoy your sh|t phone fanboy..
