I Mostly Agree With You But......

WARNING: THIS POST IS PROPAGANDA

This post has absolutely no value. I should lock it and delete, but I'm not nazi enough... I don't think I am yet anyway. :)

For example, I can buy Kingston memory... But say I buy Kingston ValueRAM... It has low compatibility, 'poor' performance and for all intents and purposes, it is 'cheap' memory. It is still Kingston though... How do you figure Kingston means quality?

This thread can have no real value unless it has a wider statistically correct and verified database. Just for the sake of argument, (and that's really the only point of continuing) Antec PSUs whine and blow up, TSST optical drives are my last choice, Emachine motherboards last for more than 3 years easily, and I've never seen a piece of Kingston Value RAM be incompatible or fail to boot, period.

The disclaimer is of course is that everybody else's results may vary, and these are my own unique experiences.
Dissenters with bad product experiences tend to be very vocal, and that does stifle the softer voices of the satisfied.

On the side of keeping this thread going you must consider that everybody who has asked "what parts should I buy to build my new computer", surely must realize that that question is the geek equivalent of opening Pandora's box, due to the inundation they will surely receive of conflicting opinions. Why should this thread be any different? I'm still going to read all the product reviews I can, while trying to figure out which reviews are written by trolls, incompetents, and people that beat the crap out of something in a use it was never intended for, which might affect the validity of the information available to me before I buy anything.

As long as part makers keep going onto new technologies, there will be hiccups and speed bumps. There will never be a greatest HARD DRIVE, VIDEO CARD COMPANY, RAM MAKER, EVUR!!!!!!
