Where is the client? According to the NCSoft website, there is no client!

hi finchy, on the guild wars home page click the support tab and there should be a big download client here button. it used to be on evry page but they put a large jobs add in its place. happy hunting.

Sorry.. I misunderstood you. I thought you meant a free trail, thats what I was looking for. I didn't reallise it was an activation thing :dead: . Ah well, summers here and I'm not going to be buying new games when I could be enjoying summer sunshine. I'm definitely getting it at the end of the holidays, I'm looking forward to chopping cowardly Char in covenant with companions

i bought it awhile back not realizing it was a mp only game. guess i should've looked at the box closer. one reason i don't like online games anymore is because ppl cheat and use trainers all the time, taking all the fun out of it. but the graphics rock! :)

    Don't Buy WoW!

Belive me... you may find it fun at start but then it egts sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring + paying monthly fees screw its more. IT graphics Sucks as hell. Really if u unsure buy GW.

Anyways im not gonna buy GW either or anymore of those kinda games but Screw wow really

look What I posted on my guild forums...

Thats it for me. If u see me this days online just using my last days of the card...

Really tired of WoW plus paying monthly... is just bull****. So many other fun games that u dont have to pay. I wish I can sell the account at least... if not Il be mad as hell but oh well. Anyways WoW is just a waste of time... I bought it cause I could play it in the vacations... but when school starts... is jsut too much **** and I wont play + is boring + $$$

I play in 2 soccer teams (school and another league in my country) + school homeworks + the best and most precious better than ALL My girlfriend. And If I get a job = raped . so u guys should get a life and not a LIFE in WoW...

anyways. many ppl in wow are just nerds who only activity is play and they miss other **** . oh Well GL TO you guys ALL killswitch TY for all.

elzedor i take my hat off too you. you managed too get a life, and then put it before computer games. you are a rareity in this world of nerds and power geeks (you know who you are, people). i too got a life once, but sacrificed it for games.
  7. Finchy Newcomer, in training

I lost my life a few years ago, it left after I became enthralled by computers. I'm not saying all those who love computers/ games have no life, just some, including me.

Ive played Guild Wars and its a great game. There is no monthly fee that has to be payed so it makes the game even better.

Kinda random but have any of you guys heard about Knights Online, I stumbled upon it abotu a year ago and was wonderign I you guys though It was pretty fun. Just wondering, and I have decided to buy GW due to you all testimonials.

IMO GW isnt all that great, its no open pvp, but that's what I'm into. I can't stand the carebear games really. If you can bare the 15 dollars a month play one of those games, they usually cost because they are the better games. Try WoW or L2, something like that.
  12. Condor Newcomer, in training

exactly how i feel man..... NO OPEN PVP T.T and I don't give a rat azz about balance, you pit 40 lvl 20 players in and let em rumble it out till the last man standing. Screw RA it get boring fast with dumb random teammates. Screw TA its for guild testing their build, and you will be crush if you join a pug against a guild team. Screw GvG it took to long to form the perfect group (even through I been to one, i have my best moment crushing my opponent guild to oblivion.

To be honest I enjoy the first game (prophecy) and i get to played all the builds. good time, now GW is trashed and forgotten. Its to pveish (every expansions they released) and people.. don't be foool-- GW isn't free. Each expansion cost $60 bucks for every 6 months, thats $10 a month for a pve game IMHO.

thats why i never brought any of it expansions, now i hear A.net stop making expansion GW after GW: EN and plans on making GW 2 instead.

    I wonder why?

this feel good just typing what i feel about GW, sry if i went offtopic or posting on some 1 bump on a 3 yr old thread ^^v

i need some answers to gw

Hi I havent got GW yet but im thinking of it. I used to play WOW it was awsume. But we had some problems so i had to cancel it. Is gw only like campaign or is it like a whole thing like wow?

Please explain yourself more clearly. I don't understand what you're asking.

If you like mindless PvP then yes Guildwars isnt for you. Open PvP lol. You cant expect to beat people who actually form a good team, which has a team build. With a PuG. I have over 2.5k Hours logged atm. Im actually taking a break from it. but I can tell you Ive gotten my moneys worth from both aspects of the game. a Con from my point of view is that you need to get all 4 campaigns+expansions to be Pro.

Sorry to mods but I wanted to say something on behalf of Guildwars.
  16. tastegw Newcomer, in training

i played the game for 3+ years if you include the beta's.

overall it was an outstanding game pvp based, its not hack and slash pvp like some other games.

guild vs guild battles are an on-going science. you can make a great build for it one week, and it will get toasted the next.

i lost alot of interest in guildwars after reading up on guildwars 2. thought to myself "whats the point of playing this game for another year when the next will be out soon enough"

but overall, it was a great game, but the most fun i had is before factions was launched.

Guild Wars is an excellent MMO IMO. The smartest thing they did with GW was not making you pay monthly fees. That was a big turn on for me. If you haven't played it yet, I would suggest you pick yourself up a copy.
