Hard drive?

can u keep the same mother bord and everything and just put a new hard drive in the comp and run system recovery or restore? on it to put windows xp or vista on it with out the acual disk???

Can't do it the way you are describing, but if you clone the existing disk to your new disk you can.

I guess you could, if its not pulling the data from the partition on a hard drive you are fine (as in it restores FROM the cd). If not you'll need to clone.
