Help me overclock my Q6600 please!

Hey guys, just got myself my first pc in years, I really wanna overclock this Q6600 but I have no idea what to do. I am aware of applications such as setfsb, and the bios methods but I have no idea of how to go about doing it. Soz for being so noob tho :D

If you guys need a screenshot of CPU-Z or anything like that please let me know.
Also, does anyone know what the PLL number is for the Q6600?? I would prefer not to open this case for the simple reason that it has been comprised in such a ghetto way that I don't want to go through the missions of opening this old rusted case.

Often when you are playing with overclocking you'll hit a point where the PC won't POST anymore. There is nothing you can do at this point without resetting the CMOS. Unless that case has a button wired to the reset CMOS jumpers (unlikely) you will probably have to open the case at some point.

If its a branded PC rather than a custom build then you won't have to worry about that because the BIOS is going to be so restricted you won't be able to OC.
