    A buget of 1000$ for a MOBO, RAM and processor. I would like 2 know what is the best combination?

    Total for all that is $812

    To use up all your money you could get the e6700 but its really not worth the $200 more for 200 mhz

    Or you could get faster memory then what I reccomended, however there isnt much if any of a noticable performance increase....

    Take the extra $200 and buy a slick case or a water cooling kit or somthing....IDK

    Just mobo /ram/cpu

    no Power supply ? Video card? Hard drives?

    I would recommend what simshady suggested. but instead a E6300 1.8Ghz and overclock the **** outta it with watercooling. then upgrade with a higher line core 2 duo , most of them are getting a 40% price cuts in april-ish(?).
