Help with MSCONFIG

Well i unchecked KBD.exe off of the start up. i look see if it worked and it didnt. any one have a clue?

Windows XP
2GB RAM
320 GB HD
HP Computer

What did not work? do you mean that the program that was running in the background did not go away?

I went into MSCONFIG and unchecked the app. then i restarted my computer and looked back in my process tree and it was still there.
