Yeah it`s pretty good. I`ve been using it for quite a while now.

However, it pays to check some of the results by Googling the specific files.

I have come across occasions, when some of the results have been wrong, although I can`t remember the exact errors now.

It`s best not to blindly rely on what it tells you.

Regards Howard :)

I've been aware of www.hijackthis.de for a long time, and TechSpot even considered teaming up with the guy that runs it.
But for similar reasons as Howard mentions, we have not done it.
I have extensively tested/used that website, the results are more promising than most other online HJT-scanners, but for me it is still not good enough.
Another thing is, that it is a private website, and if we would send everybody over there, the guy's bandwidth would very soon be used up!

So, if you DO know how to deal with HJT, it's a good starting point.
If you DON'T know what to do with HJT (and that is most of you!), it is of no use either way.

It's been said before: just running HJT and submitting a log, because you are too lazy to even READ the forum's stickies, does not cut it.
When people then get advise, and they do their own thing anyway, it's very disheartening.
You have to thank all those eejits (= *****s in English) who are too lazy/ignorant, that I don't do HJT-logs anymore.
