How do I overclock a processor?

How do I overclock a processor? Mine right now is a AMD Athlon XP 2800+, could I overclock this?

greatly depends on the mb , you do this thru bios by slowly upping fsb by 3 reboot , load windows run some tests reboot into bios up untill a) windows no longer is stable ( then drop by 4 ) b) ur temps are bove 45 idle and 50 full load . theres a lot more to it but lets just keep it simple ....
