    Quote from an unnamed source.
    quote: From "New keyboard thread".

    i have a solution.....

go and buy about 100 rolls of tin foil.

now, completely wrap EVERYTHING in your room with the foil, leaving enough to cover your own head, so that no aliens will be able to intercept your thoughts....
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Maybe this worked afterall?

You said it, I just didn't know if you wanted your name used. It was originally about someone who just couldn't get it together. It originally came from this thread.

I branded myself Dumb ***. I may be able to fix a computer if it's ailing, but my knowledge of Windows is scarce and my knowledge of anything else is infinitesimal.

There are three types of knowledge: what you know, what you know you don't know, and what you don't know that you don't know. What I know compared to what I know I don't know and what I don't know that I don't know is equal to a cup of water to an ocean. I may know some, but pretty much nothing when it all boils down. I'm not even an "expert" in a single category, and there are thousands.

    Power user.

LOL - I remember the "tin foil" thread, it was over a video card not having a TV-Out I believe.

I think Phant and Rick should have voted Guru.. Both of you are gurus to me anyways.

OMG, you sound like Socrates. (If you've ever read the trial of Socrates by Plato and have absorbed the info..)

I don't have the quote, but I totally agree that if you were a guru, you wouldn't be hanging out over here, you would think about how stupid we are.

And I'm dead serious, Phantasm is Socrates all over again. :grinthumb

I can see why you think that, but if you were me, you would be thinking about all of the things you don't know.

I have been teaching myself C++ recently by reading a book, and i am still on page 10.

Thats pretty humble P66, given that the fact that you are very knowledgable, a guru doesn't need to everything in detail related to computer but specialise in one component of computing which i think you do in networking.

Socrates was the smartest man alive for his time and yet he denied every bit of it. He was actually tried for being too smart and leading people (he was a teacher) to the wrong faith or breaking the law, which indeed is not true. His foes wanted him dead beacause he knew too much. He was executed.

And I can't believe you guys have never heard of him! Come on, this is Eurospot!

I've heard of Socrates. I knew about Socrates when I was like 3 years old, plus I had a philosophy class my senior year of High School, so yea I've read a lot of Socrates.
