How powerful are the TechSpot servers?

    Does anyone know what the appoximate hardware specs that techspot have for there servers. just curious if anyone knows.

    As for our server, you'd be surprised. We are using a humble single server setup for content, we offload static items (images, etc.) to a CDN. We also have a development test server and a third machine for hosting file downloads. That same server also hosts our side project www.filescrunch.com

    If I recall correctly the main server is equipped with two quad core Xeons, 8GB RAM, dual SAS 10k RPM HDDs. We optimize heavily on the software side however. For example, instead of apache we are running nginx which is a very efficient web server and we have the healthy habit of caching everything we can so that processing is reduced to a minimum.
