How to OC with unfriendly BIOS or locked CPU

    hi

    any-1 have any info or links on how to set mobo jumpers or some thing for a bios that has no clocking options ?

    I have like 3 mobo that have no clocking options in the bios
    all realy old. 5-10 years old
    Gateway - 2510250 Intel (Fedora) motherboard,
    Compaq presario 5000,
    Dell dimension 2400

    o..hmm I saw a few thaings about oc fsb..softwear :(

    but sems thears no one that can lead me in the right direction on how to hax/mod my bios...by flash or sodering >_<

    ok well I was thainking the was a jumper to unlock OC options for some bios..maybe not..

    Older motherboards can be irreversibly damaged by attempting to over clock much more than the newer boards with built-in OC options

    Yeah I just don't think it's worth your time, you'd be better off just upgrading in my opinion. Also software overclocking yeah.. Don't really trust it myself.

    Basically, if your BIOS/Board doesn't allow you to, it's probably not designed to accommodate OCing.
