    OTL

    Broni,

Tried twice to run the OTL. It freezes & then after an hour or so, says "not responding" at top of screen. Should I reboot into safe mode & try running it from there or what should I do?
  2. Broni Malware Annihilator

Yeah, go ahead and run the fix from safe mode.

Should I proceed with the cleanup? Are all the download programs you suggested running compatible with my McAfee Total Protection?

I'm getting a java error on bootup:

"jusched.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"

    my computer

    Broni,

I wanted to thank you for all your assistance in getting my computer cleaned. Hate to be a pest, but can you tell me if I was infected with something & what it was?

Also, do I need WOT if I'm already running McAfee Site Advisor?

I'll let you know how computer is doing after I use my Outlook Express for a while today.

    Thanks again,

    Marsha

    In that case no.

    You had some trojans there.

    Way to go!! [IMG]
Good luck and stay safe :)

    desktop shortcuts

    Broni,

Computer seems to be working great except my desktop shortcuts to IE pages don't open IE when I click on them the first time. Then when I click on them again, they open IE with 2 tabs open for the same site.

I've no idea how to fix this.

    Marsha

Delete existing shortcut and create new one.

    shortcuts

tried that & it doesn't work. Also, it's not all the shortcuts, just some of them.
