The Error happens when I attemp to launch the SIMS 3 game.

Well let me test that ok I am going to run a few games but Yes it is usally when I attemp to launch the sims 3.

Okay, it seems to be isolated to SIMS 3 which means it is most likely a driver issue. You could try updating your video card drivers to see if it rectifies your issue. The thing about drivers is if it ain't broke don't fix it. But if you want to see if this game will play you could try the following:

1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper (both have free versions) to your desktop screen and install.

2. Download the latest diver(s) for your video card but don't install them.

3. Uninstall your video card drivers and reboot your PC into Safe Mode. Run Driver Cleaner Pro or Driver Sweeper. If it doesn't find any video card drivers that is quite okay.

4. Reboot and install new video card drivers.
