just built my new system and my IDE drive is showing as SCSI in Windows Device Manager. It seems to be working okay but it is still rather alarming. My motherboard is a brand new Asus P5K.

any input would be much appreciative!

really? i wonder why that is. it is plugged into the IDE connector on my motherboard, so i'd think that it would be recognized as such. anyway, i hope it's not an issue.
