Inspiron e1705 key board trouble

My girl friend has an insprion e1705 and just recently had to get a new mother board put in after it got fried, and ever since then when she types in Microsoft Word, AOL Instant Messenger, Face Book etc the cursor decided to move up in previous written text. Also other problems include letters being spaced apart or becoming bold. My idea was she had dirt or something stuck in the keys, but with this key board, it is almost impossible to get crap inside the keys. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

The keyboard connector could be not set properly or the keyboard should be replaced and this post belongs in the Mobile Computing forum... This is a laptop. It is a mobile computing device
