Install two cores into Precison 470

I have two identical precision 470 stock computers with 550w power supply and 3.2 XEON IRWINDALE single core. Since the MOBO is dual core capable; can I take the core from one and put it in the other, without any other upgrades?

It all depends on the BIOS firmware, and the motherboard. IF the boards are identical, and have the same BIOS release (or a newer one than the original) then you should be fine.

Doesn't take much to find out though if you have both computers in front of you.
