Intel 946g - overclocking?

  1. hi friends

    thanks 4 u r interest in reading this

    the thing is i hav a system

    with core 2 duo 1.86Ghz
    intel 946 mobo
    nvidia 7300gt 512 mb
    windows xp sp 2
    3 gb of ram ddr2

    can i overclock my system so that my cpu speed will be 2.2 or above Ghz

    is there any software to do that . if so please send me the settings cause i m new to this stuffs.

    and one more thing can i increase my graphic card performance?

    i jus skimed yor motherbored manuel nd i dunt see anething bout altoring fsb speds so i dun think yuo can oc with yor baord...

    I just skimmed your motherboard manual and I don't see anything about altering FSB speeds so I don't think you can OC with your board...

    They allow you to increase your FSB speeds/multiplier, just as they claim, so long as your motherboard/PLL IC is supported. I wouldn't recommend using third party software to OC, but, if you're desperate enough and aware of the risks - give it a whirl.
