Intel Pentium E6600 running slowly

    I have a pentium dual core e6600 which is supposed to be 3.06ghz, but the cpu meter desktop gadget is telling me it is running at 1594mhz. I have not done anything with otver/underclocking, so can someone tell me how I can get it to run at the proper speed?

    Try running stress tests like Prime95, look at the gadget while its in stress :)
