  1. Hello everybody!

    I have Fedora Core 4 but I cannot config my network connection :(

    There is Terayon modem with two entries: USB, Ethernet. USB - my windows machine, Ethernet - I'm trying to connect my linux machine.

    I created the active connection but it doesn't matter what I'm typing in the address bar of my explorer I get my provider's home page. It seems to be somethig wrong with configuration. :(

    This is route:

    Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface * U 0 0 0 eth0 * U 0 0 0 eth0
    default UG 0 0 0 eth0

    And this is ifconfig:

    Link encap: Ethernet HWaddr 00:0f:ea:fb:30:94
    inet addr: Bcast: Mask
    inet6 addr: fe80::20f:eaff:fefb:3094/64 Scope Link
    RX packets:8936 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
    TX packets:413 errors:0 droppped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
    RX bytes:1746128 (1.6 MiB) TX bytes:21107 (26.4 KiB)

    lo Link encap: Local Loopback
    inet addr: Mask
    inet6 addr ::1/128 Scope: Host
    UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
    RX packets:3352 errors:0 droppped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
    TX packets:3352 errors:0 droppped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
    collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
    RX bytes:3425455 (3.2 MiB) TX bytes:3425455 (3.2 MiB)

    Please help! :(

    I am not familiar with that modem, but are you sure you can connect a computer to both the USB and the Ethernet and have it work?

    I'm 95% sure that when I had a cable modem that had both I could only use 1 at a time.
