Jumper on Dell latitude cpi r

  1. On a Dell Latitude cpi r lap top, what is the function oif the jumnper labeled JB00 found underneath the key board close to the 24co2 chip? It has 5 volts on it and is connected to either the 1 or 8 pin and connects alos via a cap to the adjacent pin either 2 or 7pin,,,?? I am wonder if this is a possible reset jumper to disable the password for the chip?

    No, it is not a reset jumper. There is not one on the CPI

    At one time, you could get all the circuit drawings on the Dell site... Have you looked at all the info for that service tag?
