Laptop freezes after 3-4 mins of startup, safe mode works fine

Dear Experts,
I am having Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525, purchased in August 2008.
2 days back machine didnt shutdown. I did shutdown using power on/off button.
After that my laptop freezes after 3 to 4 mins of start up.

I used Regpair setup to fix registry errors on 10th March '12

Please help.

When safe mode works fine but a normal boot fails, it usually means that a driver is at fault... I would suggest that you run a disk check. You can set it up in safe mode in Computer, and right click on the C drive. Select Properties, tools, check now. Check both boxes for trying to repair... Restart normally

I tried the above step of Check now, but still the problem remains.
I have similar posting in Malware section, can it be some virus problem?

Remove the battery and see if it will boot properly

Tried remove battery and again rebooted, still same problem.

Can you re-install Windows fresh. Doing this will tell us if it is malware or a hardware issue

Unfortunately i do not have Vista CD, i have misplaced my cd. I know i cannot give you this excuse..i will try to get CD.
