Laptop Networking

I want to buy this D-Link DFE-690TXD 10/100TX CardBus Adapter, 32-bit but since I dont have a card slot, I was wondering if I could get a ethernet cable to plug from my laptop into the card and would it work?

So your laptop does have an ethernet port? Im confused at thwat your trying to say?

if you have the rj45 jack in the laptop you don't need that card

This is confusing... Robgamer Are you saying that you want wireless instead of wired networking from your laptop?

If you want wireless, that is the wrong card.
If your lappy does NOT have a RJ45 networking port (unlikely, unless it's really old), then go and get it.

What is the model laptop you have? This may help.

Sorry Im just trying to get my laptop to be wireless without having to open it up or using a usb adapter. Is there any other way to do that?

You'll also need a wireless access point attached to your current router or get a wireless router.

He dosen't have a PCMCIA slot on his laptop does he? USB adapter is his only option, if he doesn't have a NIC port either
