Monitor not turning on, newly built computer

Hi all, having some serious stress issues trying to figure this out!

Ok, so specs first I guess:

i7-920
Asrock x58 extreme mobo
HIS 5870 Radeon
Corsair 750w psu
G.Skill 3x2 gb DDR3 ram 1600 1.5v-1.6v

Ok, now I've tried just about everything I can think of, and lastly it's looking like RMA, but I really hope it's just some minor oversight causing all this mess.

I've plugged in 12v & 24pin connector to mobo
I've cleared the CMOS
I've tried 2 different video cards, both DVI slots on em, I tried HDMI on the card that allowed it. W/ 2 different monitors as well.
I have the mobo mounting pins in
I can't see any place the mobo could have a grounding problem (i.e.: touching the case).

Any ideas? I've been racking my brain with this for hours. Everything turns on, fans run, front panel works, HD light comes on, everything but the monitor. I can't check for beeps, no internal speaker. I've mounted the RAM in a few different ways, using all 3 sticks alone.

I just took off the battery, letting it sit out for now.

Please help!

Pull the motherboard out of the case and run it on an insulated pad. See if it boots up normally on the monitor. If not, the motherboard or CPU is defective... ASrock :(
