Msmoney open problem

Reinstalled msmoney from three different cd's and did reinstalls of these and I keep getting reinstall message when trying to open the file, whether from the shortcut or the program list. Does anyone have a clue to this problem??

How about completely UNinstalling first before you REinstall?
Also delete all related directories from the harddisk, and clean your registry from all Money entries.
Only then should you install the version you want. Don't try to 'mix'n'match'.

I think i've done all that inclucing all that "support.ms.com" has to offer. Gone thru the registry, and followed the trail thru the C files, Still no luck. I've found a "Start Money with the Repair Switch" at support.ms.com I'm going to try now.

Could it be that your Windows version does not like that Money version?
Are the sources 'legit'?

So far nothing works.. as to win XP version vs money version-- they worked fine together before i switched to the ASUS mb. Had no trouble reloading word and works, its got me stumped..none of the MS fixes worked.

Problem solved..use kb/313374 and clear all the compatibility items and the program opens fine.
