Inactive Multiple iexplorer.exe process even when IE is not used

Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista/7), type in:
msconfig
Click OK (hit Enter in Vista/7).

Click on Startup tab.
Click Disable all
IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries.

Click Services tab.
Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services
Click Disable all.

Click OK.
Restart computer in Normal Mode.

NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running.
If you use Windows firewall, you're fine.

Same problem?

Still having the problem, even after disabling all the Startup tab and disabling all non-Microsoft Services.

Yes. The only program that I left enabled in Startup programs is - Alps Pointing-device Driver

Go back to msconfig and re-enable all items you just disabled.

Restart computer.

Re-run Process Explorer.

Right click on one of these "iexplore.exe Suspended" line, click "Properties" and post a screenshot of it.

I highly doubt this is triggered by any infection. All your logs are clean.

Let me know if you want me to capture any other tab in the properties window.

...YOU MUST RESTART YOUR SYSTEM...
Running Repair Under System Account

I don't say it often but I simply don't know what's going on here.
Your computer looks clean and as a matter of fact none of our tools discovered anything serious.

In this case....

In this forum, we make sure, your computer is free of malware and your computer is clean :)
Because the access to malware forum is very limited, your best option is to create new topic about your current issue, at Windows section.
You'll get more attention.

Thanks a ton for all your help and time. Relieved that my computer may not be infected,as I initially suspected. Thanks again for all the guidance.
