My browsers keep crashing when i try playing divx links

  1. i have just got a new compaq sg3-250uk running 64bit win7 home premuim. only couple of days ago i could play divx links no problem now whichever browser i use it freezes and i get a not responding reply.
    i can watch tv and stream stuff no problem, i can also play downloaded divx files no problem, but when i go to my favourite tv,doc,movie site, find something i wanna watch, when i click the link the divx player comes up, i press play, it starts buffering then it freezes up. so i have to close the prog
    some1 has mentioned perhaps my graphics driver needs updating ? can any1 pls help me resolve this problem? many thanx for ur time nd effort, much appreciated

    Try running the MS Fixit tool HERE to reset your browser settings. maybe will help

    ave tried that tool, thanx for helping but my problem still wont allow me to play links any other help pls?

    Hmm.. you might also try a Windows System Restore to a point in time prior to problem starting... System Restore will only change Windows settings, drivers, system stuff. not affect your personal data... you might be lucky and it may do the trick
