I jsut boughta geforce 5500 fx 256mb graphic card but it does not fit in my comptuer when i put it in. does anyone know why?? am i suppose 2 get one that fits?lol, i just thoguht any of the cards could fit.

Is your bus type PCI or AGP because if you have a pci motherboard and you buy a video card that is AGP then either it wont work or fit.

yeah, i bought the low profile card thing, and the bracket is 2 big!!
how do i make a new one, and how the hell do i take it off? can i swittch it wit my current graphic card bracket??

It depends if the cards pcb(main board of the vga), is above the case edge. If your pcb goes all the way to the top of the bracket, even taking the bracket off won't help. If you have a low profile pcb(about only half height of bracket connected to pcb, you could use a dremel and just cut the top of the bracket off(and bend a new tab for the top if you like). It should stay in even without the bracket connected, most agp card slots have retaining clips anyway.

yeah i did that as soon as i got it, cept i forgot to reply that i did, i took the bracket off and just kept it on there, lol till i can find osme way to make one that fits. thx alot for all ur help vnf, and the rest of u. u all been a great help, thx alot!!!!!!!!
