Ok got a friend that has a hp a220n series computer. Model number DK218A. The hard drive crashed and I need to know will any IDE type hard drive work in it? The original is 5400 rpm and I dont know what buffer speed is, since i cant seam to find anymore info about it. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-144-122&depa=1 I think this one at new egg should work, will it? Thanks for any help!

any standard IDE (p-ata) hard drive should work fine in there...definately get a 7200 hard drive!

That would be a great drive at a very good price.
Depending on your BIOS, there are known HD-limitations of 33GB and 120GB.
If the old HD was over 33GB in size, then the new 80GB will be fine.
Check for a newer BIOS if that 80GB does not work. If not available, install an ATA133 PCI IDE-card and run the new HD from there.
